I don't even know what to think

All I know is I ask myself more questions than I get answers when I watch this video.

Pariah

Alison Scarpulla Photography

I think I enjoy these images so much because the photographer, Alison Scarpulla, does not create these effects in photoshop. But, rather physically manipulates the negatives with water or acid, uses expired film, or damages a lens.

TV Girl: Album Downloads

Andrea sent me this album, which has really started to grow on me. You can download the full mix for free here at stereogum. The album download even comes with the promised activity book. TV Girl is a duo from San Diego that makes classic pop, made contemporary by excellent sampling. They sort of remind me of The Cults, but stray closer to classic 50's pop music.

While digging a little deeper I found TV Girl also previously relaeased a free EP called Benny And The Jets. Which has the single Baby You Were There, with this stop motion video: You can also download this EP for free by entering your email below:

Darkside: stream the new self titled EP

Darkside is the collaboration between Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington. I highly recommend this EP. There label Clown and Sunset describes the duo and ep: "Dave’s indie rock bravado and Nico’s electronic percussion came together in a series of Brooklyn recording sessions. In their dim basement studio, Dave’s soprano licks and Nico’s falsetto converged as they formed a three track, self-titled EP." Check out this well produced video for the first song A1:

Modeselektor & Thom Yorke

I like the song. My interpretation of the video though is that the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is Being John Malkovich, then ends like a Black Swan. (?) Just a guess.

Mix 4: Scientific_Confidence

Finally finished. This mix is basically a summary of what I think has been the best songs to be featured on this blog, in the last couple months. Haroshi: Sculptures

Haroshi makes sculptures out of used skateboard decks. This is one of the best uses of recycling I have seen in a while.
