University of California rebranding

The powers that be, the regents, of the University of California have decided that they needed a facelift.

I know that this site really isn't a place for discussion but I wanted to hear people's comments about this. Because most of the people I know went to some UC and this affects how people view their degree. I think it makes it look like a community college or some online degree, but I could see also how we need to shake things up so that the rest of the country or world gives more attention.
